Temple Trip x2 And Tablerock
This week was kind of rough. Monday was not pday and neither was tuesday so It just made me super sad. Long weeks and getting out of routine like that is kind of rough. They were pretty slow and not very motivating but we still tried our best to do everything we could to help people come closer to christ. We ran into 2 different ladies that had kind of interesting views on life. One was a lady of the bahai faith and the other was a lady that belived in God as a all knowing spirit that is in everything. It was just different. Ive never heard of either one of these kinds of people before. It is kind of fun to see where people are coming from to help understand them a lot more.
Alright now for the main topic: our pday on wednesday!
Elder Seegmiller and I had the car that morning so we thought it would be a great idea to his a sick workout in the morning with our good friend Craig. We all decided that we should max out our bench. So After a little bit of a warm up we started with Craig. Now craig is a little bit smaller than Parker and I. He is like 140 pounds and a very strong cross country runner. Now parker and I are a little bigger. Almost double his weight! We got Craig up to 120 lbs on his bench and Parker got 305 and I got 250 which isnt terrible. I am looking forward to actually being able to hit it hard in a gym whenever I want when I get home. I told parker that I am going to get to 315 before he gets home. Yall better hold me to that.
The rest of the day consisited of going to the temple and Hiking! The temple is always so good. I was very happy to go. It made me very happy. Also I learned something new from parker. Or maybe it was jsut an observation. The light fixtures reminded me a lot of the Horn that Aaron was annointed with in the old testament. In similitude to the initiatory part of the process. Thought that was kind of cool.
We also hiked Tablerock here in medford! Tablerock is a little mesa over by the temple. It is very flat on the top and around 2 miles up and 2 miles down. But we saw a big white structure in the distance that we wanted to go see what it was. We were joking around saying it was another temple that only the apostles knew about. Turns out it wasnt a temple believe it or not. It was an airport thing a ma bob. Idk for sure what it is for. But it was kind of fun to walk clear over there.
Alright last thing, our members are so awesome. On pday our member texts us and says that they went to costco and picked up a couple of things for us. So we stop by to pick it up and they gave us all sorts of goodies. I am very grateful for them! They definitely helped make this rougher week a little bit better! The singers are so awesome!
I really have no idea what else to talk about. We do have transfers this week. So stay tuned for what ends up happening! I would like to stay and finish training my child but maybe God has a different plan for me. I only have 3 more! So this might be my last area!
