5 Days Elder Reynolds!! Hope You’re Ready!!

For everyone who doesn’t know, Tysen is coming home on Friday! We are thrilled to death for the upcoming battle of Tysen vs. Reese! It’s going to be the match of the century that you don’t want to miss!

In all seriousness though, I am so excited to have my big little brother back. Two years feels like a long time to go without seeing someone and I missed him. Take that in Ty because you won’t hear me say that often. Also he offered to help me take names to the temple so I can finally have those male names I’ve saved up done!

Outreach Program!

In the meantime though, I’ll tell you all about the Outreach Program at Family Search! The basis of family search is to help people find their ancestors and also share their own history. I work there anyways and I was approached by some mission leaders a while ago asking if I’d work in the Outreach Program. At first I was reluctant because at that time my schedule was full and I liked it how it was. Then summer came and I needed to change my schedule because a place I served at isn’t open during the summer. So I said I’d try it after the third time they asked me. The Outreach Program is an extension of the Family Search center where we help people record their history by helping them use voice recording equipment. Many of the people we work with are elderly and can’t use computers well. We help them record the stories they want to tell and put it on a USB for them to use how they want. It’s pretty cool so far! An amazing part is these peoples testimon

Two Temple shifts?! Plus an Endowment Presentation I’ve never seen!

I was a substitute for a lady in my ward on Saturday so I got to spend even more time in the temple! Best place on earth I tell ya! I love working there so much. Also, on Tuesday me and my District did an Endowment session at the St George temple and there was a presentation I haven’t seen before. I’ve only seen the one before but this one was different. New Voices and the pictures when they talked about the Creation of the earth were wonderful! God described it and the pictures were sketch like, and then when it was done they transitioned to the actual pictures!! The artist in me was so pleased.

I think next week I’m going to talk about what I do in the main part of the Family Search center. I’m going in chronological order here, and I have just told you about Monday. First Stitching hearts in the morning and then Outreach in the afternoon. Next week will be Family Search and then the next will be a bit of background behind my District Temple trips. Then that’ll be the end of Tuesday. Then the rest of the week. Hope that made sense. Until next time!
