Volleyball Night Fiasco
Hello everyone! It is your weekly reminder of my existance. Dont worry! I am still here! The last 6 weeks have been a blur! It is so weird that I only have like 24 weeks left! 4 transfers to go baby!!
Anyways, here are the highlights!
Exchanges with Elder Anderson!
Elder Andersen is my DLs companion! He is newer to the mission but sometimes I feel like he has been out for a while! Him and his comp are very discplined in how they work. I respect that a ton! I wish I had that sometimes! We stayed up way too late just talking and laughing. It was actually so fun! My comp at the moment is not great at talking. I feel like I dont know anything about him sometimes.
Barbara and Jackie
On wednesday we usually have a bunch of people we like that go play pickleball. So we decided to show up. Sadly, it was a bit windy so not very many people showed up. We did get to meet and play with 3 different ladies. Barbara and Jackie are so funny! Barbara has a very thick accent from who knows where. But they both were so good! I swear that is all they do! So Elder Winkley and I with our limited experience were trying to play against these very good players. It was actually so fun! We even won a game! I hope we get to see them again! They were very fun!
Pickleball finding has been really back and forth. We have had many conversations about people and their previous experiences with missionaries. Most of the time it doesnt lead to anything gospel related but they keep saying we should come by and play more. I am hoping we can get something going from it. We honestly are just trying new things to work on finding people. We have found 1 person this whole transfer. It is time to change things up.
Youth Volleyball Night!
So us and 2 other companionships decided to put together a volleyball night for all the youth in our 3 wards and tell them all to invite friends and stuff! We expected like 20-25 people to show up. But to all of our suprise, there was upwards of like 40-50 people that showed up. We had no idea what to do. We could try all we want to organize something and it was like herding cats! After a little bit people started leaving. Though it was sad to see people leave so early, it was kind of nice to be able to organize the group into teams and stuff. When there was 45 people there it was almost impossible to do anything. All the youth in our ward told us that it was pretty awesome. I am so glad it worked out! They all said we needed to do it again! So maybe that is a good idea! They even said there was lots of nonmembers there! So that is kind of cool!
