Hanging Out With An Instagram Star!

Hello Hello my friends and my family! I hope you are all doing well! Thank you all for the birthday wishes! Especially the Gilbertsons for driving all the way from Merlin to come hangout with me! I love you guys! I appreciate the support! Now I cant blame all my problems on my troubled teenage years! But dont worry, I know guys that never seem to grow out of being a teenager! ;) *Cough* my dad *Cough. 



Anyways, This week has been really interesting! Ever since ive been put into the area I feel like I have been struggling. I went from Merlin to here. Where we were teaching a ton of people to nobody. So this week I decided to put my head down and just get as much done as possible. 



Last week at interviews I was talking to president and he told me he has been wanting to change our area as well as the area next to ours to a bike share area. He knows our area has a ton of hills and it it just a pain to bike up those things. So we get the car 2-3 days a week. Tuesday and wednesday and every other saturday. starting this week. We did however get saturday this week. We had a crazy day just contacting everyone we can up on the hill. It was awesome. Though we got little to no responses it was kind of cool to be working and moving as fast as we were that day. It was a good day!



I learned a year ago when I was in medford that public finding was very dumb here in Medford. The area is so strange. When elder Holmes and I were here we focused a ton on the public finding and it ended up not being very productive. So in this area, we have focused a ton on the member work side. President Cornelius has asked us to focus on this a ton in our days. They want us to be in members homes 2 times a day at least and just relying a ton on the members for our finding efforts. It is very cool to hear what the members are doing to help share the gospel! One lady in our ward, her name is Katherine Hamblin, is a 90 year old lady. But she decided she wanted her grandkids to hear her testimony of Jesus Christ. So she had someone teach her how to use Instagram! She has over a million followers just of people who love hearing her testimony of Jesus Christ. It is so amazing! So now I can say I was with an Instagram Star!



I can just encourage you guys to try your best to share the gospel. In Mark 16 it talks about the story of Mary Magdelene going over to where Jesus was buried. He wasnt there. During this time she felt frightened, afraid, Where could they have taken him? An angel told her that he was waiting in Gallilee and it says in the scriptures that they went quickly. 



Just like mary it is sometimes very difficult to Love Share or Invite. The fear of rejection is very overpowering. But you can be like sister Hamblin! You can share your testimony to millions of people! Or you can simply tell people you love them! Every one of these things are as Jesus would have done it. 



I love you all! Please try your best to look for opportunities to share the gospel! The Joy you feel from it can inspire others around you!

Hello everyone! No I did not forget to write my email this week. It was really weird last night and this morning and so I decided it was fine to write it tonight. I hope everyone is doing well! This week was full of ups and downs so lets get right into it.  Nostalgia On Tuesday I had the opportunity to go on an exchange with my old companion Elder Holmes. He was one of my favorites so I was very excited to see him and work with him for the day! We decided to make some chicken wings for nostalgic purposes. When we were together over a year ago the ward was not the best at feeding us. So we would make these chicken wings that had a delicious sauce that we had. It was a combination of Parmeson Garlic Buffalo Wild Wings and chic-fil-a sauce! Dont knock it till you try it. Though you dont need to look at the nutrition label when you are eating them. Birthday!

Hello people of the email list! Welcome to this weeks email! This week was kind of slow except for the last couple days so I guess lets get into it.  John's situation: Well we learned that my good friend and only progressing person that we are teaching had his hours changed. So that means he cannot really do our 3 meetings a week and it might be back to 1. We are hoping that he will want to meet with us at his own home. I guess this is the ultimate test of faith. Does he really want to keep progressing or does he want to just drop it right there? I guess we will find out! District council: This week in district council we talked a ton about Covenants and how important they are. President Nelson talks about how once you make a covenant with our Heavenly Father it is like a chain. He will never give up on you.
