Nobody Is Walking Out On This Good Old Fashioned Family Christmas - Clark Griswold

Hello Everyone! It is Christmas time! It feels just like yesterday that it was christmas time. Time flies by so quickly. Especially out here on the mission! I was with Elder Fossat! Who is long gone to Brazil! We got to hangout with the Hoover family that day! It seems like just yesterday! Anyways, This week was super interesting! So here is the week!

Wrapping presents!
I got to help out a member wrap presents for christmas! As you all know, I am the best christmas wrapping wizard ever! So after showing me some tips and tricks the christmas present wrapping wizard strikes again and I am a professional!

Awkward dinners
Every once in a while you go over to a members house for dinner and they just do not say jack squat and do not keep the conversation going! We usually are at one of these dinners for like an hour to an hour and a half but this one was interesting because we were there for 35 min. We had dinner, almost in silence because they are so weird and then they said they were going to bed and were glad we came! So we left! Probably the shortest member dinner ever.

Standing outside in the Cold
Saturday we were asked if we could participate in a zone service. So we show up and they are wanting us to take shifts helping pass out presents at the salvation army church. Like the toys for tots thing. So us and the zone leaders are there at 8 am, it is like 30 degrees outside and we had to be there directing traffic outside. There was like 3 cars the whole time we were there. It was one of the most useless services I have done. I dont even know.

Golden
So we showed up early to a service the other day. Totally miscalculated the timing but we got to go to this little mining town in Merlin area called Golden. It was very well known for both its mining as well as gold panning. They like were using one of the most effective ways to get gold there. It like totally messed up the river there. So they have been working on putting it back to the way it used to be. There was also an old church and schoolhouse we were able to visit. It reminded me a lot of Grafton. I loved it.

Anyways, that is all I have for the week! I love you all and keep remembering christ during the christmas season! He is the reason for the season! Have an awesome week! Talk to yall when I do!
