Livin In Eugene/Snakes!
Whats good my friends! I hope you are all doing well! There is like 15 days until christmas so I hope you are all setting up and getting ready for the best day of the year!
This week was very interesting. Did a lot of things I had no idea I would be doing so lets get into it!
Living in Eugene!
So Friday we got a call from the mission offce and they told us that Elder Kartchner would be flying to Salt Lake City for an apointment for his Visa. So I got to hang out in Eugene for like 3 days until he got back. We drove up Monday morning because he had to be at the airport at 11. The schedule was I was going to stay in Creswell just outside of Eugene for 2 nights. We would pick My comp up Wednesday Morning and drive back home.
Monday (Pday) Was a joke. Nobody wanted to do anything fun so we just sat at the church building with only like 2 people I cared to talk to. I did get to hangout with Elder Merrill that day. But everyone else besides the creswell elders sucked. That is why I chose to stay with the Creswell Elders! Elders Touhouni and Starly were their names. I think they are so funny and literally the only sane missionaries in Eugene. I loved the time here.
We taught this guy named John in Creswell, super knowledgeable guy and he just seems to know everything. I hope we can get through his thick skull to get him baptised. Otherwise we just did work and lived it up in creswell!
Snakes!
One of our brand new investigators owns a zoo. No not a literal zoo but he owns upwards of 50 animals. We go over there for a lesson but get sidetracked looking at all his crazy reptiles! One of teh snakes was supposedly one of the fastest striking venomous snakes in the world. We also got to hold these crazy cool pythons. One of which was like spotted white. Probably my favortie one he has. I will take a picture with her when I go over there next. One of the snakes I am holding is a 16 foot 65 pound python and it was the largest snake I have ever seen. I have no idea why I just wanted to hold them all. But I did. Not the venomous ones. I didnt dare do that.
Anywasys, I hope yall have an amazing rest of your week. I might have more stories next week but we will see what happens. Enjoy the pictures!
