Thanksgiving!

Hello Everyone! I hope you are all doing well! Life here has been nothing crazy but it has been enjoyable. I hope everyone had an awesome thankgiving! Hope you all had a fun Black Friday and whatever else yall had this week! Anyway, here are the highlights!

There has been a lot of changes between this transfer and last! There is about half of us that stayed. Some of my good friends are in a quadpan now with the zone leaders. So that is definitely interesting. I am really looking forward to christmas in this zone! There are some awesome friends that are in this zone!

We did have an awesome experience where we went and visited with our newly baptised member Joshua! It has been a bit since he has been to church and it definitelly has taken a toll on him. But this time we go over there and he told us he visited with Brother Garcia and that he quit smoking again! Keep Joshua in your prayers! He is an incredible guy! This is probably the happiest I have ever seen him!

Thanksgiving on the mission is very different. Instead of hanging out with your family for the day and doing various activities you are at the mercy of the people in the ward! if they like you you might get invited to dinner and maybe get to go do the turkey bowl with the family! If not you get to sit at home. Luckily our ward likes us and we actually got invited to 2 different dinners! One over at the church building that Bishop was pulling off, the other was at Mama Goodpastures. We got absolutely spoiled and I should not have ate as much as I did. It was a lot of food.

Black Friday!
No we couldnt get up at 630 and be there for the rush in the morning. We had meetings all morning but we did get to go public finding afterwards for a bit! The funniest part is I convinced my companion Elder Kartchner to wear these ridiculous elf cowboy boots that were left in the apartment. He wore them for the meetings just to be funny but he forgot his other shoes so he wore them all day. We did public finding, went and visited people and went to a dinner in these awesome boots. He is just so glad to have a companion like me.

Anyways, i think that is all I have for you guys. We did get to watch a short clip of the kid from a christmas story beat up another kid and lets just say, it was amusing. I have been focusing a lot on my studies the last little bit because they have been lacking. I read in D&C 138 talking about how Jesus Christ ministered to the people on the other side of the veil before he was ressurected. Ive heard that doctrine before. Just happy to have a place to where I can cite it if needed.

I love you all and I hope you have a great week!

Also, I met this guy named Ken Jones who graduated from Hurricane, he said he knew a handful of you guys. I know he mentioned Arthur Lebaron, Travis and Wes Christiansen and Richard and Matt Hirschi.
