Mario The Italian Man

Hello Hello Hello! It is me! If your getting these emails and you have no idea who I am than that is your own fault and you get to suck it up! Youve gotten a couple of these.

This week was alright! Nothing crazy interesting but better than last week! Here are the highlights

Transfers!
This week was transfers! Not much changed actually! Both me and Elder Tufuga stayed together and so did our whole district! So that is kind of cool! I realised that I am getting sorta old in the mission because I had a ton of friends that ive known since the beginning go home this transfer. My Companion Elder Chevy was one of them! As well as my buddy Elder Pack that I've known since I went to Medford 9 months ago. Those were the 2 big ones but it is kind of crazy to think that they were about how old I am right now when I met them. Almost at a year!!

Anyways, with transfers we got to see a bunch of missionaries I havent seen in forever! Elder Larson finnally left the Medford/Central Point valley and is now up in Santa Clara. So I got to see him. Transfer day was just very fun! I enjoyed it a lot.

Blackberries!
On tuesday the sisters asked if we could come help out with a service that some lady asked them to do. Blackberries are all over here in Oregon and they are sometimes a pain to get rid of because of their spikes and how chaotic they are. So we went and helped clear out so many blackberries! Lets say that having a machete is very helpful when doing these! I actually forgot to get pictures from this. I am sorry.

Mario!
While we were door knocking one of the days we knocked on this house of a part member family. They answer and for some reason Mario really liked us. It could be that he was very into working out and we were both bigger guys. He was a super nice guy and was showing us his patio where he has a smoker, a blackstone and a super fancy pizza oven! He said he has absolutely loved making pizzas lately and invited us to come make pizzas with him! He also invited us to go fight a giant fire breathing lizard but we politely declined that one. We already have a job to do and though it would be fun to go beat up a lizard we are the lords servants and I dont know if he would approve.

Final Thoughts
Well that is all I have for the week. But I did want to leave with one final thought from my studying this morning. I was reading about the story of the Sons of Mosiah and how they were persecuted by the Lamanites! They were going behind enemy lines so they can share the gospel. It kind of got me thinking about my struggles out here on the mission. I have it so easy compared to the physical challenges the sons of mosiah had to endure. The sons of mosiah as well as other great people suffer while trying to further the work of the lord. Even Jesus Christ, our saviour, was persecuted. The apostles were persecuted. People were martyered. Though we are not physically persecuted to the extent of the biblical times nowadays people, not only missionaries are being persecuted mentally. I have a quick invitation for you guys. Make sure your friends and family are doing alright. I know sometimes things can be hard and you just feel like quitting. But dont you ever give up on yourself. Your heavenly father would never give up on you. I hope your all doing ok and if you guys need to talk you guys know how to get to me. I love you all and ill talk to you guys next week!

Elder Reynolds
