Exchanges And President Cornelius
Hello hello hello! I swear it was just yesterday I was writing one of these. The weeks are flying by. In a couple weeks I am at my year mark! So that is exciting. Anyways, here are the highlights
ZL Exchanges
We had yet another exchange with the zone leaders! I went with Elder Layton for the day over in 4th ward. I got to drive around the truck! So that is a plus! We had to go over to the office for a little while because Elder Layton is an office missionary. There was not a ton going on it honestly was pretty lame because I didnt have anything going on. But the rest of the day was alright. We just did a ton of contacting. Sounds like a typical day out on the mission.
President Cornelius!
Wednesday we had Zone Conference and MLC! So we spent all day over in Eugene doing meetings. We got over there at 930 for MLC and had the meeting until 1230 and then Zone Conference started at 2. We did get to meet our new Mission president though! He has definitely already changed a ton about the mission! He is way more enthusiastic than president Weekes was! It was actually so cool seeing how happy he was to be out here and just ready to serve!
Notable Changes:
President Weekes had a list of Frequently asked questions that he made as a list of more rules that he liked. President Cornelius told us that those rules were pretty dumb and he threw them out! We now can hangout with sisters on Pday and do services with them. And of course the biggest most important one, I can legally wear my Pit Vipers!! I am already loving president Cornelius.
Exchanges 2.0
I had more exchanges this week this time with the 2nd ward Elders! I got to go with Elder Engh! The coolest miracle happened that day! So their area is pretty slow and there is just not a lot going on. But I wanted to do as much as I could while I was there. We did a lot of contacting and I also contacted Elder Asay who used to serve there and asked him if there was anyone we could go visit. He pointed us in the direction of this guy named Tim because he was a very cool guy and he played baseball for the KC Royals in AA. So we go visit him and he is such a nice guy! As we were talking with him he mentioned his girly friend is a member and he goes to church with her. He kinda hinted that he had no idea why he wasn't baptised yet which was hilarious. So they are meeting with him sometime this next week.
That is all that happened this week! It was pretty eventful for me but there isnt a ton of fun stories to tell. Sorry about that. I love you all and I hope you all have an awesome week!
