Oakridge! (pictures)

How is it going everyone!? I hope you are all doing amazing! First things first, as I am typing this all out on mothers day I wanted to write a little bit about my awesome mother! She has taught me so many things. I definitely would not be the guy I am today if it wasnt for her and her amazing example to me and my siblings. I love you mom! Thank you for making me laugh every pday and just making my day awesome. Your the best mom there ever was and I know everyone on here is jealous of how awesome you are. 


Anyways, mission stuff now. 


On pday we somhow figured out a way to steal the zone leaders car so we had to take advantge of the opportunity to just go explore more thatn we are able to on bikes. We went to Hendricks park which is one of the coolest places and has flowers of all colors and stuff there! It was so fun going and just exploring the area and how beautiful it is! We also went and visited a bunch of simpson art things all around town. I only took pictures of and with pieces that werent destroyed by graffiti and innapropriate pictures. People are so childish. Anyways it was one of the funner pdays on the mission. 


Trail Finding
We had exchanges on Wednesday and so Mort and I got Elder Nazer again! We had plans to go facebook and dot contact over at a park that was a little ways away because we thought it would be fun. Turns out this park required us to take a 8 mile trail to get there. No it was not that crazy of a trail but I did almost run over a big ol snake. Sorry I didnt take pictures Elder Nazer scared it away before I could. It took way longer than we thought but it did lead to some fun memories.


Oakridge!
Earlier in the week my good friend Bubba messages me and asks if I could come help out with a service project up in Oakridge. So with a little bit of maneuvering I was able to drive up Friday night with the Oakridge elders and stay the night up there and come home saturday. During our dinner hour Friday I wanted to go fishing in oakridge so we were able to do that and I caught a little trout. It was the only one anyone caught so it was pretty awesome. 


The next morning we get up and go fishing in the morning during breakfast and go over to bubbas. He wants us to help him split and load up his truck and trailer with logs and bring it home and stack it. It brought me back to home. All those times Carson and I cut and sold firewood. It was a blast! Plus I got to see Bubba for the first time since LakeView. 


I get home in the evening and I got to go help out with a youth activity where they went over to the Willamette temple site and had a tour of the open house! There were a ton of kids there! '


That was pretty much my week! I think my highlight was going up and working with Elder Pack and Elder Kunz up in Oakridge! That was a blast! Anyways, I hope you all have an amazing day!

Hello everyone! No I did not forget to write my email this week. It was really weird last night and this morning and so I decided it was fine to write it tonight. I hope everyone is doing well! This week was full of ups and downs so lets get right into it.  Nostalgia On Tuesday I had the opportunity to go on an exchange with my old companion Elder Holmes. He was one of my favorites so I was very excited to see him and work with him for the day! We decided to make some chicken wings for nostalgic purposes. When we were together over a year ago the ward was not the best at feeding us. So we would make these chicken wings that had a delicious sauce that we had. It was a combination of Parmeson Garlic Buffalo Wild Wings and chic-fil-a sauce! Dont knock it till you try it. Though you dont need to look at the nutrition label when you are eating them. Birthday!

Hello people of the email list! Welcome to this weeks email! This week was kind of slow except for the last couple days so I guess lets get into it.  John's situation: Well we learned that my good friend and only progressing person that we are teaching had his hours changed. So that means he cannot really do our 3 meetings a week and it might be back to 1. We are hoping that he will want to meet with us at his own home. I guess this is the ultimate test of faith. Does he really want to keep progressing or does he want to just drop it right there? I guess we will find out! District council: This week in district council we talked a ton about Covenants and how important they are. President Nelson talks about how once you make a covenant with our Heavenly Father it is like a chain. He will never give up on you. Even if someone might not be living the covenants fully he will still be willing to help you get back on track and hold on to the iron rod. I absolutely love talking about cove...

Hanging Out With An Instagram Star!

Hello Hello my friends and my family! I hope you are all doing well! Thank you all for the birthday wishes! Especially the Gilbertsons for driving all the way from Merlin to come hangout with me! I love you guys! I appreciate the support! Now I cant blame all my problems on my troubled teenage years! But dont worry, I know guys that never seem to grow out of being a teenager! ;) *Cough* my dad *Cough.  Anyways, This week has been really interesting! Ever since ive been put into the area I feel like I have been struggling. I went from Merlin to here. Where we were teaching a ton of people to nobody. So this week I decided to put my head down and just get as much done as possible.  Last week at interviews I was talking to president and he told me he has been wanting to change our area as well as the area next to ours to a bike share area.
