Still Alive

Hello people of the email list. It is that time of the week again and this is my weekly reminder that I am still kicking. Lets get into the highlights!


Exchanges!
Tuesday I went on exchanges with the zone leaders! Elder Fawson is such a good missionary! He is motivated and just such a good missionary. I got to do 3 different lessons with him. We worked super well together. I feel like I never get to teach in my area. Elder Holmes is very overpowering and I feel like we dont teach in unity. I guess it is something to work on. 


Temple Trip!
Wednesday was our pday! That is why I did not message people that day. Sorry about that. Anyway, I got to go through for my grandpa Slaughter! This was such a cool experience because it was someone I actually knew. I decided to pray to ask for a affirmation from the lord. I felt a very strong sense of peace knowing that he is there and that he is proud of his family. It was probably my most special temple session because of that. 


Torr!
Now is the time to talk about everyones favorite person! Torr! We went over to his house at around 630 on Thursday. We were like oh we can be there for an hour share a message and then leave. Nope! He told us we were helping cook a chicken and he was going to show us "How to be men." 9 oclock runs around and the chicken wasnt even in the oven yet because he kept telling us special ways how to do it. We did not leave his house until 10. Worst part of it all was we didnt even get to eat the chicken! I dont even know, he was just so bossy and it drove me nuts. Elder Holmes enjoyed it more than I did this time!


General Conference! 
This weekend was General Conference! It is insane to think the last one I did I was in LakeView. The time has flown by so fast. We got to hangout with a bunch of other Elders at the stake center and watch the sessions together. I think this conference was so dang awesome! I think the 3 talks that stood out to me was Elder Renlund's talk about covenants, President Nelson's talk and Cooks talk about Ministering. Of course I need to go rewatch a bunch of them because I might have dozed off during some of them. But those ones were my favorites. You guys have to let me know what your guys favorite ones are! I would love to hear your insights!

Hello everyone! No I did not forget to write my email this week. It was really weird last night and this morning and so I decided it was fine to write it tonight. I hope everyone is doing well! This week was full of ups and downs so lets get right into it.  Nostalgia On Tuesday I had the opportunity to go on an exchange with my old companion Elder Holmes. He was one of my favorites so I was very excited to see him and work with him for the day! We decided to make some chicken wings for nostalgic purposes. When we were together over a year ago the ward was not the best at feeding us. So we would make these chicken wings that had a delicious sauce that we had. It was a combination of Parmeson Garlic Buffalo Wild Wings and chic-fil-a sauce! Dont knock it till you try it. Though you dont need to look at the nutrition label when you are eating them. Birthday!

Hello people of the email list! Welcome to this weeks email! This week was kind of slow except for the last couple days so I guess lets get into it.  John's situation: Well we learned that my good friend and only progressing person that we are teaching had his hours changed. So that means he cannot really do our 3 meetings a week and it might be back to 1. We are hoping that he will want to meet with us at his own home. I guess this is the ultimate test of faith. Does he really want to keep progressing or does he want to just drop it right there? I guess we will find out! District council: This week in district council we talked a ton about Covenants and how important they are. President Nelson talks about how once you make a covenant with our Heavenly Father it is like a chain. He will never give up on you. Even if someone might not be living the covenants fully he will still be willing to help you get back on track and hold on to the iron rod. I absolutely love talking about cove...

Hanging Out With An Instagram Star!

Hello Hello my friends and my family! I hope you are all doing well! Thank you all for the birthday wishes! Especially the Gilbertsons for driving all the way from Merlin to come hangout with me! I love you guys! I appreciate the support! Now I cant blame all my problems on my troubled teenage years! But dont worry, I know guys that never seem to grow out of being a teenager! ;) *Cough* my dad *Cough.  Anyways, This week has been really interesting! Ever since ive been put into the area I feel like I have been struggling. I went from Merlin to here. Where we were teaching a ton of people to nobody. So this week I decided to put my head down and just get as much done as possible.  Last week at interviews I was talking to president and he told me he has been wanting to change our area as well as the area next to ours to a bike share area.
