Fishin On The Mission

Well Hello people of the email list! This is your weekly reminder of me and my life. Congrats! I got transfered last week! So now I am in the big city now! I thought for sure that Medford was big but I had no idea how big Eugene and Springfield is. So there you go! Here are the highlights for the week.


My Companions!
So my new companions here in springfield are Elder Mortensen and Elder Wilson. You might remember Mortensen from previous emails because he was in Central Point when I first got there so it is kind of cool to reunite wih him. He is like 30 feet tall and he was part of the Marine Corp before the mission. He is pretty cool! My other companion is Elder Wilson. He has been out for like 5 months and this is his first area. He is going to be here for 4 transfers. He is pretty cool too. He is from Bunkerville Nevada which is pretty close to Mesquite. Both of them are pretty awesome. I am excited to serve with them both.


The work
Well honestly the work here is pretty slow just like in Medford. I feel like I havent done anything the last few days. Elder Wilson was sick the other day and we have been doing a lot of planning and district leader stuff. So that is kind of boring to be honest. 


Fishing on the Mission! 
You are all probably like who is this guy that is emailing me? He doesnt like fishing! But a ton of my good friends do out here and I dont want to be the looser that chooses to sit at home and be lame while everyone else is out fishing. So now im fishing. Congratulations. Maybe I will find a passion for it out on the mission. That would be pretty cool. Then I can go out with McKay and Carson and enjoy myself more. I want to really bad.

Hello everyone! No I did not forget to write my email this week. It was really weird last night and this morning and so I decided it was fine to write it tonight. I hope everyone is doing well! This week was full of ups and downs so lets get right into it.  Nostalgia On Tuesday I had the opportunity to go on an exchange with my old companion Elder Holmes. He was one of my favorites so I was very excited to see him and work with him for the day! We decided to make some chicken wings for nostalgic purposes. When we were together over a year ago the ward was not the best at feeding us. So we would make these chicken wings that had a delicious sauce that we had. It was a combination of Parmeson Garlic Buffalo Wild Wings and chic-fil-a sauce! Dont knock it till you try it. Though you dont need to look at the nutrition label when you are eating them. Birthday!

Hello people of the email list! Welcome to this weeks email! This week was kind of slow except for the last couple days so I guess lets get into it.  John's situation: Well we learned that my good friend and only progressing person that we are teaching had his hours changed. So that means he cannot really do our 3 meetings a week and it might be back to 1. We are hoping that he will want to meet with us at his own home. I guess this is the ultimate test of faith. Does he really want to keep progressing or does he want to just drop it right there? I guess we will find out! District council: This week in district council we talked a ton about Covenants and how important they are. President Nelson talks about how once you make a covenant with our Heavenly Father it is like a chain. He will never give up on you. Even if someone might not be living the covenants fully he will still be willing to help you get back on track and hold on to the iron rod. I absolutely love talking about cove...

Hanging Out With An Instagram Star!

Hello Hello my friends and my family! I hope you are all doing well! Thank you all for the birthday wishes! Especially the Gilbertsons for driving all the way from Merlin to come hangout with me! I love you guys! I appreciate the support! Now I cant blame all my problems on my troubled teenage years! But dont worry, I know guys that never seem to grow out of being a teenager! ;) *Cough* my dad *Cough.  Anyways, This week has been really interesting! Ever since ive been put into the area I feel like I have been struggling. I went from Merlin to here. Where we were teaching a ton of people to nobody. So this week I decided to put my head down and just get as much done as possible.  Last week at interviews I was talking to president and he told me he has been wanting to change our area as well as the area next to ours to a bike share area.
