Return Of The Lost Sheep!
Hello hello hello! Welcome everyone to my weekly email. This week has not had a ton of super interesting things but I will tell you all about it. At least the highlights!
The Lost Sheep!
These last few weeks I have been trying to work with a newly reactivated member named Bryan. He has been inactive for the last 20 ish years and then I knocked on the door. This was a little while ago and then that sunday he came in and asked for a priesthood blessing. He said he has been going through a lot of crap and he felt like he needed to be changing it around. So I have been supporting him the last little while and he has been making the commitments to come back to church and to switch his life around. I am so proud of him. Sometimes missionary work is not about the numbers. There is a huge number of Inactivity in this area and Elder Holmes and I have been working out behinds off trying to get them to come back.

Today we ran into this guy named Torr out on the street. He is a hardcore christian guy who loves the bible. And he loves to have proof over everything we say. So we were introducing the Book of Mormon to him and we asked if he could take 15 minutes to allow us to explain in depth what it was. So he said sure and we started drawing out a little map explaining Lehi and Jerusulem and his travel to the Americas and all that jazz. But every little thing we would explain to him he would ask for proof and would try to correct out "Pitch" as he would call it. It was so random because half the time he was messing with us and the other half he was dead serious and you honestly could never tell what was what. You know? I felt like I learned so much talking to him and nothing at all at the same time. And we were with him on the street for 45 minutes.
Studies
This week I Continued reading the Old Testament, New Testament and Book of Mormon. The Old testament was particularly cool because Im at beginnings of the story of Moses. He has a similar beginning of the prophet Jeremiah. They both seemed incapable of the task at hand. Moses so much so that he has his brother Aaron become his spokesman to teach the people. They doubted the plan God has for us. I feel like I would have done the same thing. There is no way that little old me could have been a prophet. But I dont know what I am capable of. I love this scripture in Alma chapter 13 verse 28. "28 But that ye would humble yourselves before the Lord, and call on his holy name, and watch and pray continually, that ye may not be tempted above that which ye can bear, and thus be led by the Holy Spirit, becoming humble, meek, submissive, patient, full of love and all long-suffering;" He knows what we are capable of. He knows that if we trust in him we can bear way more than we believe we can. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen
Well that was the coolest things that happended this week that I can think of. So there you go! I hope you all have an amazing week, I love you all and Ill see ya next one!
