The New Whip!
Well well well hello there people of the email list! This week has definitely been something to remember! So lets get started with the highlights!
The trio!
So for the first 4 days of the week, Monday-Thursday I was with the zone leaders in a trio! I totally had mixed feelings about the whole ordeal! I loved being with Elder Wells and Fawson! They are incredible Elders but every lesson I felt like the odd duck. I felt like I was not included in the lessons. It also could have been that the people dont know me. But I feel like if I was in a trio someone would constantly be left out. But I did have one fire lesson where everything ended up working out great and I was able to tie one of this lady's interests to the gospel! She is going into Psychology and I asked her if there was a relationship between the 2 and what it did. She said she saw somehting one time saying that prayer creates positive brain stuff to make you happy! So Pray! The psychology lady says it is good to do and so do I so that means at least 2 of us says it is good.
Temple!
This is my third time in one transfer going to the temple! It was one of my favorite times because I got to wear the long awaited temple crocs! I was looking forward to it for so long and I got to rock wearing them while I was at the temple! I felt so cool! But for real, the temple is my favorite place to be. There is nowhere else on this planet that you will feel the spirit stronger than in the house of the Lord! We got to learn a ton about temples during stake conference this weekend as well! One of the 70 came and talked a ton about temple attendance. And how making and keeping those sacred covenants can help you throughout your life. He also talked a lot about how we need to empty out our packs sometimes to make it easier to climb up mountains. Repenting of our sins helps empty the unneeded weight that holds us back from reaching the top. I wish someone wrote it down so I can reread it but I was not able to do that sadly. Elder Huftaker was his name I believe and it was incredible.
The New Whip!
Well as most of you know I am on bikes now! My area is giant and I still have no Idea why it is a biking area. It takes around a half hour to ride clear to the south part of the area. I have not even tried to go to the northern part yet. It is clear in Central Point! Like so far away. Everyone we have talked to said our area should be a car area. So I guess ill just bite my tounge and keep trucking along. I do have to replace a bunch of junk for the bike to make sure I am like safe and like my bike can be locked up and such. So that will be fun tomorrow.
Elder Holmes
My new companion for this transfer is Elder Bryan Holmes. He is super cool and very knowledgeable about the gospel! He has been out just barely longer than me. He is very cool and I feel like him and I get along pretty well!
Sids Gormet BBQ!
So Elder Holmes are out biking like 30 minutes from our apartment. Just contacting people like you know missionaries do. And we were getting pretty hungry and we ran into this food truck just on the side of the road. Lets just say it smelled so dang good and so we stopped and we had one of the best brisket sandwhiches I have had in a long long time! We sat there and talked to him for a while about his buisness and how cool it was! Sid is from Guana and he has been all over! He has plans to have like a permanent place. This guy was living the american Dream! I Loved going and visiting there! He is so dang cool!
Anyways, that is the coolest stuff that happened this week! I feel like with a combination of the bikes and my new awesome companion we will get this place booming! We will have so many apointments that they will have to get us a car! They wont have a choice!
I love you all and I hope you have an amazing week!
