Radcliff Is A Cowboy!

Well hello there people of the email list. It is that time of the week again. You get to hear from yours truly. Your probably suprised that I am still kicking. It has felt like eternity. Just kidding. This week has been a rollercoaster. So lets get started.


IM IN A TRIO
Just kidding. I am not actually in a trio but my district leader Elder Radcliff wanted to give his greenie a chance to practice spanish so he sent him with the spanish elders for the day and Elder Fossat and I got to hangout with Radcliff for the day. It was actually way fun. I can tell if I am ever in a trio it would have its ups and downs. But we did make a ton of jokes and it was just hilarious. 


We taught this guy named John (Seriously! What is with all these Johns!) about the Articles of Faith. One thing stood out to me while studying for the lesson. The gathering of israel happened when God confounded all the languages after the tower of Babel. I have always thought of it as a physical thing where they all legit spoke the same language and stuff! But doing further research I realised the language was more the Language of the Gospel in my eyes. That is why when President Nelson is talking about "Gathering Israel" It  talks about missionary work. The people were all one in the fact that they knew of the gospel. There is tons of instances where God talks about scattering and gathering the people. Idk it was a cool thing to me. Take it with a grain of salt. I am not a scripture wizard.


Josh! 
There was this guy we met at the local 711 gas station while we were in our trio. He seemed so friendly and fun. He talked to us about our faith and we gave him a book of mormon and He told us he would love to keep in touch and so we have his number and now he doesnt ever answer. He works at this burger joint down the street so we might go try to visit him while he is at work. We were told by many people that these burgers are the best! So I am curious now and I am going to have to go try it. 


THOUSE
Elder Radcliff invited a few of us Elders to go to Texas Roadhouse for his birthday party! We had an absolute blast and was just partying it up and suddenly some guy named Kelly came over and legit paid for our whole table! Like $150! We are so grateful for him and please keep him in our prayers! Radcliff also got to ride the saddle! YEE HAW!


INTERVIEWS
We had president interviews this week too. He has been keeping an eye on my areabook planning job since I started training and lets just say I feel like it has improved. He helped me learn what to put in our time and he told me he wants to have multiple smaller meeetings with our friends instead of one large meeting in a week. So we are going to try that. We have meetings with John (Yes our John) Sunday, Tuesday, and Fridays. We are so excited to try it out and I feel like we can give him more stuff to study and ultimately help him come closer to Jesus Chrsit. 


QUESTIONS
I havent done these in a while. But Elder Fossat asked me if I did like a spiritual side of my emails and I told him yes and it reminded me of these! So I would blame him.

Hello everyone! No I did not forget to write my email this week. It was really weird last night and this morning and so I decided it was fine to write it tonight. I hope everyone is doing well! This week was full of ups and downs so lets get right into it.  Nostalgia On Tuesday I had the opportunity to go on an exchange with my old companion Elder Holmes. He was one of my favorites so I was very excited to see him and work with him for the day! We decided to make some chicken wings for nostalgic purposes. When we were together over a year ago the ward was not the best at feeding us. So we would make these chicken wings that had a delicious sauce that we had. Birthday!

Hello people of the email list! Welcome to this weeks email! This week was kind of slow except for the last couple days so I guess lets get into it.  John's situation: Well we learned that my good friend and only progressing person that we are teaching had his hours changed. So that means he cannot really do our 3 meetings a week and it might be back to 1. We are hoping that he will want to meet with us at his own home. I guess this is the ultimate test of faith. Does he really want to keep progressing or does he want to just drop it right there? I guess we will find out! District council: This week in district council we talked a ton about Covenants and how important they are. President Nelson talks about how once you make a covenant with our Heavenly Father it is like a chain. He will never give up on you. Even if someone might not be living the covenants fully he will still be willing to help you get back on track and hold on to the iron rod. I absolutely love talking about cove...

Hanging Out With An Instagram Star!

Hello Hello my friends and my family! I hope you are all doing well! Thank you all for the birthday wishes! Especially the Gilbertsons for driving all the way from Merlin to come hangout with me! I love you guys! I appreciate the support! Now I cant blame all my problems on my troubled teenage years! But dont worry, I know guys that never seem to grow out of being a teenager! ;) *Cough* my dad *Cough.  Anyways, This week has been really interesting! Ever since ive been put into the area I feel like I have been struggling. I went from Merlin to here. Where we were teaching a ton of people to nobody. So this week I decided to put my head down and just get as much done as possible.  Last week at interviews I was talking to president and he told me he has been wanting to change our area as well as the area next to ours to a bike share area.
