My Son Is All Grown Up!

Alright hello people of the email list! Hope you are all doing well!  This week is kind of been nuts so let's get right into it!

Car Crash!
Yep! I got in a wreck! I totaled the whole vehicle and 3 people died. Just joking, Elder Larsen and Elder Walker did though on their way home from the church on pday! They were making a left turn and some lady ran a red light and slammed into the back end of the car! The air bags on the whole side went off and they couldnt drive it. So they call us up at around 9 and ask if we could drive over and pick them up and take them to the autobody shop here in medford. So we do that and they end up asking us if we can take them back home and lets just say with everything that happened it ended up being a super late night out here on the mission. We didnt get home till around 11 and our curfew is supposed to be 9 so that was fun. I am sure president would understand.

Exchanges with Elder Fawson
Alrighty so next on the list is exchanges with my zone leader Elder Fawson. He is a super cool dude, kind of quiet but he is super awesome. We went and worked out and came home and did studies and went over to the pear farm. We came back and was just about to start eating lunch and Elder Walker calls us and they say that the AAPs called and said that since our area used to be a biking area we needed to give them our car as soon as possible. So reluctantly we had to figure out how to get bikes for the 2 of us and lets just say that is an adventure.

One of the bikes we were given was from the Medford 8th Elders. They had 3 and were willing to give us the broken one. All it needed was some new pedals and a couple of pins. So we went to the bike store down the street to pick these couple parts up so we can fix it. The guy that was running the bike shop was named stan. He is blind. ANd yet he still works on bikes. Who knew! He was trying to charge us for all sorts of little things! Like to replace the pedal we had to have a big alan key and we didnt have one so I asked if I could borrow one for just a minute to get this bolt out and he told me that he would do it for $10. I was dumbfounded. $10 for a one minute use of a alan key? That was stupid. Anyways I reluctantly agreed since I didnt have a choice and when I go to pay him his associate who is not blind came up to us and said $10 and while doing so he waved his hands to tell us to leave. He totally lied to his blind boss for us! I love that man! It saved me money! I would have spent $30 to fix this bike instead of 20.

My son is grown Up!
On Friday during district council we got a message from one of the higher up people that Elder Fossat needed to call her. So we call and she says that she has his visa to Brazil! So he leaves the same day this comes out to Brazil! It is so nuts! I feel like I have grown really close to hiim and definitely one of my favorite companions! Him and I just get along so well and I am honestly going to miss him. My son is all grown up and I get to hangout with the Zone Leaders until Thursday which is transfer day! I guess we will see what ends up happening!

Anyways, that is all that happened this week! It was pretty nuts to me! We have just been preparing for his Flight on Monday and making sure his luggage is all fixed and ready to go. I love you all and youll hear from me again next week! "Chow Chow, Ah Frick!" -Elder Fossat RIP 2022-2022 My son.
