Thanksgiving!

Hello people of the email list! This is your host, Elder Reynolds at the time of this going out, it is not my pday. But to the convienience of myself and of others I decided to write it on sunday night anyway. Your welcome. My pday is actually on Thursday because we get the opportunity to go to the temple! So they have to change our pday so it makes sense with that schedule. and I have absolutely no idea why I started the email like that. But here is the highlights of the week!

President Interviews!
Every Transfer we have interviews with president Weekes just to see how everything is going and to see if he can do anything to help us out. Anyways it went pretty well! I recieved a lot of cool insight about how I can have better personal studies. Before I was just straight up reading from the Book of Mormon for a half hour and then the New Testament for a half hour. They suggested we split it up for 10-15 min sections. Like read the book of Mormon for 10 min then the New testament for 10 then do something like memorize a scripture, look at the needs of the people we are teaching, etc. Just do like 10-15 min segments instead so you can cover more ground. Because if your like me than you kind of like doze off while reading. It is easier to focus when you have to do it for only 15 min instead of 30. But it has actually been super neat!

EVERYONE ANSWERED!?
So we went contacting to a bunch of people we had addresses for. My mission does not do tracting because of a bunch of issues and such but we can contact people we know a little about beforehand. Like if you have their address and nothing else you can go knock and see whats up. So off we go to contact a big group of people and every single door got answered! It like rarely happens but when it does, it is like so cool! Though nobody was interested it is still a miracle that everyone we knocked on answered.

THANKSGIVING
So Holidays in general are like a weird mix of P-day and normal days. Like a pday with a member meal in the middle of it was like how I would describe Thanksgiving. We got 3 hours of activity time so we played volleyball with the Elders until like 10 in the morning. Then we like hungout and ate lunch and we had our thanksgiving at like 230. The Romriells hosted us for Thanksgiving. She told us she wanted to have an excuse to not have to go to visit her sketchy aunt who always makes questionable food for thanksgiving. I am glad we are the better alternative to sketchy weird aunt food. Anyways, Brother Romriell smoked a turkey for us and we had all the sides and stuff you can think of. It was fabulous! Yes, I forgot to take a picture with it all. I am sorry. I realised afterwards and it is my mistake. We then went to the Hoovers house and ate pie and messed around with their kids. Between them and the Romriells they had like 11 kids there. And of course they wanted to have a huge pillowfight. Of course it was Elder Larsen and I against the kids and of course we would destroy them. What did you expect? Just kidding. We were both cowering in the corner getting beat like a sack of potatoes by 11 kids between the ages of 5-10. Just fun memories.

5K!
So for one of our services we were asked if we could direct a Thanksgiving turkey trot! All we did was stand there and tell the runners to run in one way. It was super special. Some of the Elders ran it. And me being the muscular guy I am, did not. Kind of a fun service at 7 in the morning on a saturday!

Vince!
Friday sometime, one of our ward members named Joe called and told us he had a neighbor who might be interested in hearing a message. We go over there and he was so cool! He is a philipeno guy. (Sorry if I spelled filipano wrong) He runs a assisted living center in his house which is kind of neat! We gave one of his patients a priesthood blessing and then he asked us questions and we told him everything we know. We also told him that we could come by and teach him what all we believe in the 5 lessons. He seemed down to do that! He seems ready to hear the gospel! I really hope! (Knock on wood) But I will have to keep you guys posted on his progress! Pray for him! I am sure he would appreciate it!

Spiritual thought!
We talked a lot about Elder Renlund's talk about the framework for personal revelation in Elders quorum. Through revising my personal study from reading the whole time to other stuff I have felt more in tune with the spirit. I don't know what your personal study is like, but I encourage you guys to revise how you do it so you can recieve more revelation for the questions you have. Go read Elder Renlund's talk! I will leave it in a link here! But I promise as you guys seek to have personal revelation to answer your questions those quesitons will dissapear! Your testimony and faith will increase and you will become closer to your Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ amen

Anyways guys, that is kind of it for this week! If you have any questions about the week feel free to email me and I will answer your questions on Thursday! I hope you all have an awesome week and I hope to hear from you guys more on Thursday! You guys are awesome! Love you guys!
