Elder Chevy/MOMS BIRTHDAY!

Guys only 90 more days until Christmas! It is practically here!

ALSO, VERY VERY important news! It is my moms birthday! Thank you mom so much for pushing me to my limits and loving me enough to show me how to be a responsible person. My mom means the world to me. I am very grateful that I have her in my life. I would not be the stunning man I am now if it werent for her! I love you mom! I hope you have the best day ever!

Anyways, hello people of the email list! A ton of things have happened since my last email. Lots of good, and lots of bad! This week has been a mix of emotions!

At the very beginning of the week I lost my good friend Leo, Elder Hansen's bear. It was very sad to see him leave. We have been on so many adventures to Alturas and on Black Top mountain above LakeView. It was sad to see Leo go. But for real, Elder Hansen and I got along so well that it was a little rough to see my buddy have to go up to Eugene.

But on the bright side, I got a new companion! His name is Elder Chevalier (Che-valley-ier). His name is french so it does take a bit to get used to. I have learned if I call him "Chevy" It works just as good.

A little about him, he is like way more tech savvy than I am. He helped me organize the Areabook so quick and easy it was not even funny. It would have taken me legit days to organize everything. He is pretty quiet which on the long drives that we have to do out here in LakeView it can be kind of annoying. But it can also be kind of nice.  He has been out for like 14 months so he has a few tricks up his sleeve I guess.

So far he is in my top 3 favorite companions list! If you dont understand my humor or are just a little slow, (*cough* TAYLOR *cough*) I have only had 3 companions. They are all tied for first because I am nice.

Anyways, Wednesday we had a ton of stuff planned out and it all took way less time than I had envisioned so that was when we (mostly him) organized the areabook and did facebook finding for probably too long. We did however go help move a couple of refridgerators and freezers over at the food bank. They were so nice and gave us so much food before we left. We were given like 4 loaves of bread, 3 dozen eggs a big ol box of pancake corndogs and 4 bags of turkey sausage links. We felt like we had so much food after that. We pretty much had turkey sausages coming out of our ears!

The bad part of the week happened Thursday. The weird thing is we come back from transfers up in Medford and like the whole ward is all sick with Covid. We had a bunch of different interactions with a bunch of them right before this. and I started getting a stuffy nose and a scratchy throat. So I figured if it got worse I would get tested myself and of course it did. I got tested and it was positive. I had the good ol COVID.

So sadly we had to call all of the apointments and move them all to this week because I had covid. I guess the whole ward had it because Bishop ended up canceling church on Sunday because there were too many that had it.

So from Friday on we had to quarantine ourselves from everyone. It was absolutely miserable. I studied and read a lot and that was fine but when I wanted to go and just be out I kind of couldnt. I ended up finding a Sudoku puzzle book in the apartment and I wanted to try it out. I am not too good at puzzles and this definitely proved my point. It is pretty difficult. Once I thought I got the hang of it, I realised I was completely wrong and I had to start over. I think between the 2 of us, Elder Chevy and I have done probably 20 different puzzles. You guys need to try it, It is kind of annoying.

Anyways, we did tons of Facebook finding, areabook contacting and basketball in the church gym. I found that if you relate the gospel to something your passionate about it becomes so much easier to relate a principle to it. I did a post relating Wakesurfing to building testimonies. Go check it out if you want.

QUESTIONS:

This week is more of a challenge instead of a question. You get to choose something you are passionate about and relate it to the gospel just like I did. Then you get to share it with someone. That is it! let me know how that experience went! I would love to hear from you guys! If you think you can't do it, man I have a perfect scripture for you! Moses 6:63 says,
"63 And behold, all things have their likeness, and all things are created and made to bear record of me, both things which are temporal, and things which are spiritual; things which are in the heavens above, and things which are on the earth, and things which are in the earth, and things which are under the earth, both above and beneath: ALL THINGS BEAR RECORD OF ME."

Thank you all for the amazing support you give to me each and every week! I really appreciate it! I appologize for the longer email this week! I guess I just had a lot more to share. Love you all! Talk to you guys next week!
