Lots and lots of Miracles!
Hello People of the Email List! Hope you are all doing super amazing!
I had a crazy week this week! We visited this dude named Jack that had us do a bunch of odds and ends around the house! I guess Elder Huffstutler and Elder Hansen have been helping move logs for him. He has been trying to clean up the forest around his house so we did a bit of that as well! Wednesday we traveled to Alturas and helped a new convert named Betsy put more insulation stuff on her house. I am very fortunate to have grown up in such an amazing place and having such a nice house to live in.
Thursday we helped Phyllis with moving gravel to put in a fence post that we didn't get to finish last time! We messed up on it so that is the first project for this week if we end up going over there! Friday we went and mowed the lawn after the district council. We also went and helped this lady named Jasmine and her mom Debra move a ton of stuff into her house from her garage. We also started to sand and paint Debra's deck.
While trying to sand the deck, we couldn't get some of the sanders to work. The paper just kept coming off. We stayed way later than we had planned trying to get it done. The crazy thing is that because we couldn't get the sanders to work we would not have met Debra's neighbor. They came and commented on us staying out super late and offered to let us borrow their belt sander. The lady came and was talking to us for a while and I guess they lived in the salt lake area! They were huge Utes fans and they loved missionaries but were not members. They also invited us to come and do a BBQ in their backyard sometime! They were super cool!
The next day we just went about doing more and more service like cleaning gutters and going through more of Adrianna's moms yard. Later that night we had a little bit of a lesson with this dude named Glenn. He is an older guy who needed a bunch of help with stuff. He didn't really let us do a lesson. He just needed someone to talk to. He is super generous and gave me a hat and a knife. He is pretty awesome as well! He will need a lot of work in order to get messages across to him.
Later that night we had a cool experience while trying to talk to more people at the Safeway. There was this 13 year inactive lady who saw us and came and talked to us. She said she missed her "Ward Family" and wanted to go back to church. So we told her where it was and got her a ride for yesterday's church session. If we hadn't done our public finding at that safeway she would not have gone to church on Sunday with us! She had the biggest smile the whole time we were at the church. It was amazing!
The last crazy miracle is about our good friend Adrianna. She messages us and tells us she has this crazy once in a lifetime opportunity to get her a trailer and a truck. Mind you, she was living in her mom's trailer on the side of the house. She has been trying to find a way to get a house of some sort for her to live in. There was this dude that needed to get to a court date very quickly and needed a car to get him there. He had to leave his trailer and truck behind so he can go to this court date and a house over in Colorado. He told Adrianna if he can get her a car he can have his trailer and truck. She asked us what we could do. So we made a bunch of calls and was able to get her $1000 for a car. Now she has a place to live! This is an amazing thing for her! I am so excited for her to be able to have that!
Now for the fun stuff (some might have Pictures)
Elder Hansen and I played an intense monopoly game for 4 days! I ended up winning it! It was back and forth game the whole time!
Phyllis has a ton of sheep and I was excited when this one just came up to us and wanted to hangout with us.
We put 2 lawn mowers and a weed eater in the back of our Equinox. We need a truck so so bad! I am determined to get one back in that area!
Adrianna's house has a bunch of chickens and they had Chicks!!
We saw a 3 by 7 point buck! at Glenn's house.
Workout at coaches!
Elder Hansen and I kissed frogs on our way to Klamath last night! They were so easy to catch!
We went to Crater Lake today for P-day! It is so so pretty! The water is so so blue! And Elder Hansen caught a chipmunk!
I forgot to send questions!
