Zone Conference!

Image
Hello people of the Email list! This week has been a very uneventful week! For the most part we stayed in Klamath and Medford the whole week. Kinda sucky if you ask me. We went up to Klamath on Sunday night because we had plans to head to Crater Lake for P-day. Then we had zone conference on tuesday. Zone conference is where we get all of the missionaries in the lower half of the mission come together to listen to President Weekes talk. It is super fun because I got to visit with some of the missionaries that I havent seen in a while! I got to see Elder Peart. Sadly, Elder Graf is in one of the Northern areas. So I didnt get to see him sadly. Otherwise President Weekes talked about how the Book of Mormon combined with the spirit is the best resource for conversion. He also talked about how "The Atonement" has become a huge slang for us missionaries. He wants us to start saying it is the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I loved Zone Conference so much! I just enjoyed meeting and int...

Lots and lots of Miracles!

Hello People of the Email List! Hope you are all doing super amazing!  I had a crazy week this week! We visited this dude named Jack that had us do a bunch of odds and ends around the house! I guess Elder Huffstutler and Elder Hansen have been helping move logs for him. He has been trying to clean up the forest around his house so we did a bit of that as well! Wednesday we traveled to Alturas and helped a new convert named Betsy put more insulation stuff on her house. I am very fortunate to have grown up in such an amazing place and having such a nice house to live in.  Thursday we helped Phyllis with moving gravel to put in a fence post that we didn't get to finish last time! We messed up on it so that is the first project for this week if we end up going over there! Friday we went and mowed the lawn after the district council. We also went and helped this lady named Jasmine and her mom Debra move a ton of stuff into her house from her garage. We also started to sand and pain...

Not As Liberal As I Thought... Yet

Greetings people from the email list! This week has been a very eventful week! I made it to the field which was quite an adventure! We had to wake up at 130 in the morning on Wednesday to meet our flight to Oakland Cali and then we had a delay for a couple hours and then flew into Eugene.  We were met by a ton of missionaries and my mission president Elder and Sister Weekes. There were 19 of us on the flight and it was amazing! I was so tired on the flight because of the early, early, early morning. Then like 8 hours of riding on a bus. Lets just say it was such a long day of just nothing but it was exhausting. We stayed at Elder Sherwood and Elder Jensen's apartment in Klamath the first night. I learned that in my area we get to do lots of staying at other people's apartments because it is so far out of the way. Like next week we get to go up Thursday night and go to district council on Friday. Then we drive back up Sunday night and go to an activity on Monday for Pday! Thursd...

Last Full Week Of MTC!

Hello people of the missionary email list! It has been a week and a half of in person MTC and it has been a mix of emotions! It has started to feel a bit like the movie ground hog day. Just the same schedule every single day has kinda made the days feel like a blur. After a bit, it just feels like it is the same stuff over and over. I am so dang excited to go out in the field! Everything I have been hearing and listening to is just inspiring words that make me want to go out in the field even more!  Sunday we had this crazy opportunity to do this experience called the "go and do" experience. Where we pretty much were given a topic and we had to go study this topic for a couple hours and share with out district. It was actually super awesome. I've learned that if you go into the scriptures with a question or prompt you get more out of it.  One of the biggest topics this week was the importance of Faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement. We had many discussions talking abou...
